Welcome to my psychotherapy practice, Sarah Claus, PLLC.
I believe I have the best job in the world. Each day, I create space and tools for people to align themselves. As a result, my clients report moving through their days as healthier, more balanced adults who feel they are being true to who they are.
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. I have specialized training in addictions, Relational Life Therapy for relationships, and motivational interviewing.
I have experience working with adult survivors of childhood sex trauma, adults in active addiction and various stages of recovery, aging adults in hospice care, and men who have past or present legal troubles. I love working with adults of all ages, with experience of working with people from 18-100. I also love working with folks in all stages of marriage and relationships, primarily working with the Relational Life Therapy model that I see creating impact and results in clients’ lives.
I’m not a Colorado native, yet I’m proud to have called Colorado my home for almost two decades. I enjoy digging into house projects with my husband, going for walks around town with our dog, and venturing into small Colorado towns whenever I can.
I never cease my training and professional development, and I surround myself with mentors and colleagues who offer decades of experience. This means my clients will be well-served by the latest research as well by the kind of insight and knowledge that has been honed with such dedication over the years.
I work from an existential and Gestalt standpoint, yet I incorporate evidence-based strategies found in CBT when appropriate for a client’s goals.
I ground myself in big questions: Why are we here? How do we get right with who we believe we can be? How do we take care of the needs that weren’t met when we were kids? How does connection happen, and why do we crave it so much?
If you think I may be a possible match as you seek a therapist, I invite you to a free 15-minute phone consultation to learn more about my practice. Please use the Reach out page to message me with any questions you may have or to schedule the phone consultation.
